Trade has always been the engine that approximates people and in our case it started during the colonial period when winds played a definite role in navigation forcing European vessels to stop by in Brazil when heading to Asia.

 This is how we got the Jacaranda tree here in Australia and plenty of Eucalyptus trees in Brazil among several other species.

Currently both powerhouses of the Southern Hemisphere are rediscovering each other. We are witnessing the increase of affairs through mining, agriculture/livestock, education and sport among other sectors. The international sports events to happen in Brazil in 2014(Football World Cup) and 2016 (Olympics) offers additional wide and attractive opportunities. 

Western Australia in all its capacities is very well positioned to further strength the relations between both countries.
